Left home late…Daughter came back from skating with my wife at 11:30pm on Friday night. Lucky I asked them not to come home too late in order to be able to wake up and be on time for her race program. ](*,) The youngest stayed at home with my wife.
Got at the mountain at 9:05am and temperature was a -1c.
A quick summary of the day?
Zoomer, Easter-Bowl/Strief, Strief…repeat 16 times. These runs are good, the vertical could be better, however what is driving me crazy is the lack of variety and runs. Going for a record season skiing local, not necessarily a good thing. This was Day 25, only 4 days have been more than 55 miles away from Ottawa, none of them since MRG on December 20th. It could get worst, head coach talked to me today and would love to move Morgane into K2 next season. I’m not going to stand in her way if that what my daughter wants and if we can afford it.
A bit of fresh snow in the morning. Good snow conditions with a few firm patches on the steeper parts and quiet in the AM, snow started to change as the temps reached +1c in the PM and crowds started showing up. Probably the longest lineups I’ve faced this season.
TandL was having a demo day, I tried the Rossi Avenger 82 and Classic70? Loved the Classic 70 on the type of conditions the mountain offered today, however I need to ski a bigger mountain and different conditions to based an opinion on the Avenger 82. More work is required for drive these skis, but still enjoyed them.
