Nestled in the Heart of the spectacular Presidential Mountain range high above scenic Jackson, New Hampshire, Black Mountain provides the quintessential New England skiing experience.
In 1935, the first overhead cable lift in the country was installed at the Moody Farm on Black Mountain in Jackson, NH.(…) Black Mountain is the oldest ski area in the State of New Hampshire and has been in continuous operation since 1935 making it one of the oldest in the country.
Not much to add to the above description, Black Mountain is a great family ski area. The ski area has a vertical drop of 1,100′ mostly south facing ski area with 40 trails 98% and snowmaking making coverage.
Our family truly enjoyed our visit in March 2008. The brochure and trail dates back to that trip in the 2007-2008 season.
