A quick update for December 24th.
The place was as quiet as it was on Thursday. I guess the last minute shopping and Christmas preparations also kept the skiers/boarders away.
The owners were hopeful about today’s forecast snow (and cold the next few days). I guess their moved earlier this year into buying a bunch of local cinemas might have been a good one. 🙄 Hopefully for them and the rest of us, that White Gold starts falling seriously for the Next Year.
edit: I forgot to mention the funny thing that happened to us on the 24th.
While skiing down Clifford, Morgane was straight lining the last part of the pinch before PeeWee, up the upslope she came face-to-face with a heard of deer that were just standing in the middle of the narrow trail. I was watching from the top of the pinch and I’m going “OMG” she going to run into them. She stopped just a few feet (Morgane said 1 meter, also mentioned that there was 10 of them, I might have seen a maximum 5).
We saw 3 of them again in the wood on the next run, then they crossed the trail again right besides us. WOW, Morgane is definitely going to remember that day. 😛
I guess it was Christmas Eve after all. 😉
