Argentina’s Chapelco is located in Northern Patagonia in the Neuquen province. The ski resort’s maximum elevation is just under has 2000 meters where roughly half of resort’s vertical of 730 meters is situated under timberline. Lift capacity is fairly important with a capacity of 18,000 skiers an hour.
Below in the valley 19km away is situated the town of San Martin de Los Andes with a number of shops and restaurants enjoyed by a number of tourists.
