Seth Morrison arrived on the scene in the late 1990s and has appeared on more than two-dozen ski movies, including the first three Matchstick Production films, Warren Miller and Teton Gravity Research movies. Seth is mentioned as being part of one of the greatest skiers in Powder‘s 35th anniversary issue magazine.
Born on November 30, 1973 in Kentucky. Started skiing as a kid in Wisconsin when he was 6 and then moved to Colorado at 11. Raced in Vail then moved to Crested Butte where he started competing at the extremes. He started landing in ski movies.
Seth Morrison pushed the envelope on what was presented in ski movies adding backflips to cliff drops.
Nobody had more impact on the alcohol-induced, fired-up Friday-night-in-the-fall, ski movie audiences of the late ’90s / early ’00sthan Seth. You could feel the energy level in a room rise whenever his image came onscreen, usually to a rocking soundtrack as Morrison launched a Lincoln Loop or some unimaginably monstrous back flip off a giant cliff.
