“Mont Sainte-Marie, the only real mountain experience in the Outaouais”
The Outaouais region greatest vertical with 1,250ft (381 meters), the ski area is located one hour north of Ottawa. Mont Ste-Marie opened in 1966. Intrawest bought the resort in the late 90s, but sold a few years later to the Sudermann brothers which also owned at the time one of the region most important ski area; Camp Fortune. The ski area spans two mountains. This week we feature a look back at the brochure and map from the 1998-99.
The main brochure was two sided, one French and the other English with price information in the middle. The Ski map wasn’t part of the brochure and it approximately from the same time period, circa 1998-99. Mont Ste-Marie has lost two expert runs on the Cheval Blanc and the glades on Vanier since that time; Crescendo and Klotz are no longer part of the trail network.
