Out of this weeks tentative ski areas, Mont Sutton and Wildcat called it quits while Sugarbush is spinning again. The East has a confirmed 6 ski areas open for this weekend. For a few of them, Sunday risks becoming the last day. Three of them (MSS, Jay, K) have mentioned continuing later into May.
Here is a rundown of what is happening.
Mont Saint-Sauveur :
Saturday May 3rd : $5 lift ticket if you have a Montreal Canadiens item. TV with the game 12:30 game at the bar. Free beer with the purchase of nachos. Lift tickets are available online for $20 until the end of the season.
No confirmation on terrain, but a minimum of two trails will be open.
Hours 11am to 5pm.
Mont Comi :
25 out of 29 trails open. Conditional opening for Sunday due to possible unfavorable forecast. $29.57 + tx adults lift ticket.
Hours 9:00am to 3:30pm.
39 trails out of 160. One SuperQuad lift and $49 lift tickets for adults and teens. Last day of the season is Sunday May 4.
Jay Peak :
29 trails out of 78. 4 lifts out of 7 including Jet and Flyer. $49 lift tickets for adults. Great deal on lodging. Ski & Stay from $169/night for a family of four.
Hours : 8:30am to 4pm
18 trails out of 111. 2 lifts : Heaven’ Gate and SuperBravo. $50 lift tickets for 18 trails and 18 holes of golf.
Hours : 10am to 5pm
10 trails out of 155 serviced by the Superstar Express. $54 lift tickets for adults.
Hours : 9am to 5pm
Update : May 3, 11:55pm : Mont Comi confirmed that Saturday was their last day as rain is the forecast for Sunday. None of the remaining ski areas will be open midweek. Look for the Ski Mad World’s Eastern Closing Thread post on the situation sometimes on Monday.
