After the unseasonal warm temperatures since the official start of Spring, we have seen a swing across the East into some below normal temps with some snow accumulations or dusting in most parts. And it’s snowing again today.
Although we seem to have a lower number of areas offering see skiing over the weekend, we are pretty close to part especially south of the border. Six resorts have confirmed that they were going to be open at least one day this weekend. It will be Maine’s two remaining areas last hurrah this weekend; with the exception of Killington, everyone else will be closed next midweek after Sunday, but rest assured, they will some May skiing this season. As mentioned in my last post, if you remove last season Covid closures, it is virtually assured that there is some May skiing somewhere in the East.
Four areas are longing to spin one day or more in May. Jay and Sugarbush have confirmed that the first weekend of May would definitely be their last of the season. Don’t wait, go skiing if you can.
